These are some of our favorite restaurants that help make our area, from Tres Rios to Dominical, so wonderful for a vacation or a lifetime.  All are within 25 minutes easy drive from the Reserva along the excellent and paved Costanera road.

 Dominical

  • Bakery/Café Solo Bueno:  just as you enter Dominical, a cafeteria and bakery serving coffee, cakes, ice cream, deserts, and sandwiches. A wonderful, local place.
  • Restaurant/Bar San Clemente: on the left as you enter the town. A fun, surf oriented Mexican/American restaurant decorated with broken surfboards which all list their date of damage. Basic pool table. A few cool seats. Surf videos.
  • Café Tortilla Flats: the Dominical surf hangout with a café/restaurant and rooms for rent right on the beach. A great place for breakfast or a beer anytime and to catch up on surf info.
  • Salon el Coco: a nice, spacious tico restaurant/bar at the end of the strip, right on the beachfront.  Serves a range of typical tico fare.

Ojochal

  • Bar Exotica: the upscale local restaurant. A lovely but small dining area and high-quality French food and wine.  Reservations required at all times of year. Expensive, but well worth it.
  • El Jardin Tortuga: further up the road in Ojochal, follow the Pizzeria signs. Large bar area serving pizza & lasagna type food and range of drinks. No reservations required. Stephan recently opened a new expanded bar area.
  • Ojochal Bakery; right next to El Jardin Tortuga serves French bread, muffins and other treats.
